CLASSICAL BALLET

Classical ballet is the basic foundation of all dances and is absolutely necessary for the technical development of a dancer. Classical ballet technique is offered in the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) method.  All elements of correct barre work, body placement, arm movements, adagio, and allegro are applied in each lesson.  In addition, ballet students develop correct posture, carriage, and discipline.  Classes are offered starting at 3 years through to advanced, and range from 30 min to 75 min in length in accordance with the level of the class. 

Uniform -

Pre-Primary, Primary and Grade 1 Classical students

• Baby pink leotards
• Pink ballet tights
• Pink full sole ballet shoes
• No jewellery is to be worn
• Hair must be in a bun

Grade 2 & Grade 3 students

• Baby Blue Leotard
• Pink ballet tights
• Pink full sole ballet shoes
• No jewellery is to be worn
• Hair must be in a bun

Grade 4 and above 

• Black leotard
• White or flesh coloured bra’s (sports bra’s are not permitted)
• Pink ballet tights
• Pink full sole ballet shoes
• No jewellery is to be worn
• Hair must be in a bun
